The Camera & Adapter Attached to The Meade LX10  8" SCT

I made this camera adapter out of three small plastic containers. The very inner container is a plastic vitamin B (or Multivitamin) container with the bottom cut off. The next container, in the middle is a film camera container with the bottom cut off. The outer container is a Tintex dye container with the bottom cut off. The inner container has a piece of paper (printing) lined inside to make it a more snug fit on the camera lens. The whole thing is painted a matt black inside. The two inner containers are cut shorter than the outer one to allow enough of the eyepiece to sit nicely inside. I have added three screws to hold the adapter to the eyepiece and one screw to lightly hold the camera lens in place. The main problem you may have with a lot of digital camera's is they turn them self's of automatically after 60 seconds and retract the lens back into the body of the camera. This is why there is only one screw to hold the lens, and only very lightly incase I forget and the camera turns itself off, but offcourse if this happens while you are away from the scope the camera will drop to the ground with a thump, so be very careful, and never leave it attached when not actually in use. This camera only cost me $99 on E-bay so it is a very cheap alternative and does get some results as shown below. All shots below are taken with this camera and adapter.
